"the name of Jesus"

Jehovah Jireh The Lord our Provider

Jehovah Nissi The Lord our banner

Jehovah Rophe The Lord who Heals

Jehovah Shalom The Lord our Peace

Jehovah M'Kaddesh The Lord who sanctifies

Jehovah Elohim LORD God

Jehovah Tsidkenu The Lord our Righteousness

Jehovah Rohi The Lord if our Shepherd

Jehovah Shammah The Lord is There

Jehovah Sabaoth The Lord of Hosts

The name of Jesus transcends all the names of God that were necessarily used in the Old Testament, he has broken all barriers that were a requirement to reach God.

cool, eh. :]
was talkin to my gospel choir folk today and this guy, joshua, was sharing about how marvellous "Jesus" is, the (w)holiness of his name :]
we're singing "the name of Jesus" for both our concerts!!

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." Galatians 5:22

plant physiology is the key theme for bio class this next coupla weeks, and prof. spalding was talking about how fruit = modified ovary walls, as how seeds = mature/developed ovules.
basically, the meat/fruit, along with ther pericarp (outer surface of fruit) protects the seed from harm. and, as we have all learnt in our p6 science classes, it aids in (animal) dispersal.

:]

SO.
i draw the parallel.

the nine fruits of the Spirit are virtues that ground us in God, that grant our soul shielding from the batterings of the winds that seek to shake our faith, to pry loose the hands that stretch out, seeking God.
just as cherry-meat provides that same protection. :]

and the manifested fruits of the Spirit are agents of dispersal.
"faith without actions is dead."
we MUST walk our talk, lest it be fake.
for the proof of the passion is in the pursuit.

do you really believe?

my bio class, i liiiike :]
